Here are the notable pictures from last weekend in Madrid. Comments on the more interesting ones. Forgive me, but the museum did not allow photography of any kind in the massive Picasso/Dali wing, so although I saw Guernica and other famous pieces up close I have no evidence of it but my memory.
I was up and moving through the city much earlier than most everyone else. I think I've only seen two sunrises here in Spain, and both in Madrid funnily enough.
If you can guess what this building is I'll give you every Euro in my savings account.........no? Too bad. It's Madrid's main post office. Apparently palaces are just laying around Madrid so they started turning them into governmental offices.
On the art: I don't have any idea who most of the artists are. I didn't get any pictures of Picasso or Dali like I said. Some of the pieces were really cool regardless.
Ahh I lied, this is clearly Dali.
Huh, and a random Picasso too.
Main train terminal.
Oh this was so cool. The entire side of this building is covered in growing plants. I'm not so sure it's an environmentally conscious thing as it is just someone's awesome idea.
